Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael Lohan undergoes heart surgery

Lindsay Lohan has been in the news lately because her Playboy cover, a throwback tribute to Marilyn Monroe's pictorial in the men's magazine, was leaked online prior to its release. But now her father is also making headlines.

TMZ reports that Michael Lohan was hospitalized Wednesday (Dec. 7) to undergo heart surgery in order to remove blockage from a clogged artery. Lohan has had health problems for several weeks, which the doctors believe stemmed from his heart troubles.

Once he is in stable condition, Lohan will return to his court-ordered treatment facility, where he is taking part in a domestic violence intervention program.
