Justin Bieber and Emma Watson have influential haircuts

emma-watson-justin-bieber-gi.jpgJustin Bieber and Emma Watson have more than one thing in common. Not only did both become mega-stars before their 18th birthdays, but now the Wall Street Journal has named their haircuts as the most influential of 2011. Which means that, yet again, Ryan Gosling was TOTALLY ROBBED!

OK, so we're kidding about that Gosling bit. But not about the part where the Wall Street Journal -- erstwhile venerable chronicler of the financial world -- named influential haircuts.

In 2011, after completing the "Harry Potter" movie saga, Watson cut her hair into a stylish pixie cut and modeled for Burberry. Bieber's trademark "swish" cut was named thanks to the WSJ's research which discovered the Bieb's was one of the most searched celebrity hairstyles on Google.

"Hairstylists are being inundated with requests for pixie cuts and the Bieber swish," writes the Journal. "The popularity of the pixie cut is more of a change for women -- for whom short hair hasn't been trendy since the '90s -- than for men, who may justifiably feel sheepish about asking for the cut."

The WSJ also named Kanye West's debut fashion line the biggest runway flop of the year.
