Jordin Sparks, 'Idol' alumna, travels with teens
Jordin Sparks, who won the sixth season of "American Idol" back in 2007, isn't just busy building a career as a recording artist. She's also carved out a sizable chunk of time to inspire high school students to see the world. She spent the summer of 2011 traveling with students via the People to People Ambassador Program -- a cultural exchange program that places high school kids in 40 countries around the world. "Every teen should travel," said Sparks during a recent visit to Seton Hall High School in Cincinnati. "It is a great way to open your eyes to new cultures and use that knowledge to empower yourself. Not only was my experience with People to People a blast but this learning experience is a way to change our world."
