Joe Mauer engaged to Madeline Bisanz

Sorry, ladies. Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer is officially off the market, as he popped the question over the weekend to girlfriend Madeline Bisanz, reports the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

The proposal happened on Sanibel Island, which is near Fort Myers, Fla., where Mauer calls home during the offseason. The two have not set a wedding yet.

Joe and Madeline have been dating for over a year, but they were friends for several years prior to that. They both attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minn.

Not much is known about Bisanz. Google yields few results, but she did make the Dean's List in spring 2005 at the University of Minnesota Duluth. We also believe that is Madeline in the inset picture, from a photography website that handled a friend's wedding.
