Daniel Day-Lewis sporting Abraham Lincoln beard

Daniel Day-Lewis is considered a master of his craft and we assume his work on the 2012 release "Lincoln" will be no exception. He was recently photographed in a Richmond, VA.-area restaurant sporting his Lincoln beard (right). He looks strikingly like President Abraham Lincoln, no?

The InSneider, of Variety, also tweets a juicy tidbit from the set:

"Word around town is that DANIEL DAY-LEWIS hasn't broken his Lincoln accent since March. His real name doesn't even appear on the call sheet."

We're sure "Lincoln," starring not only two-time Oscar winner Day-Lewis but also Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Jackie Earle Haley, David Strathairn, Hal Holbrook and James Spader and directed by Steven Spielberg, will be just as epic as the cast and director would have us think it will be.

"Lincoln" is scheduled for a 2012 release, but no official date is available yet.
