Thanksgiving recipes: Pumpkin Pecan Pie recipe from Paula Deen

paula-deen-pumpkin-pecan-pie-recipe-rachael-ray.jpgDo you like pumpkin pie? Do you like pecan pie? How about both together? Paula Deen stopped by "Rachael Ray" a few years ago to share her Thanksgiving recipe for Pumpkin Pecan Pie and it sounds to die for.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) melted butter
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • Whipped cream


Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat the eggs well with a hand mixer, then mix in the corn syrup, sugar, butter, pumpkin and vanilla extract until well-blended. Arrange a layer of pecans in the bottom of the shell. Slowly pour the mixture over them, then bake for one hour at 350 degrees Farenheit, or until a knife inserted one inch from the edge comes out clean. Let cool so the filling sets up and serve with whipped cream.
