Nicole Richie gets her own QVC clothing line

Remember when Nicole Richie was Paris Hilton's sidekick? Yeah. Those days are long gone. The erstwhile reality TV star turned designer is expanding her fashion empire with a new collection of clothes for QVC.

"The line is cute -- it can be worn by teeny-tiny girls but also goes up to size XXXL," a source tells Us magazine. "Nicole has a great fashion sense, and she's very hands-on."

The 30-year-old Richie already has two fashion lines -- House of Harlow and Winter Kate -- and has signed on as a mentor in NBC's upcoming "Fashion Star." In her spare time, Richie -- along with husband Joel Madden -- is raising two children, Harlow Winter Kate (3) and Sparrow James (2).

Her House of Harlow brand includes jewelry, sunglasses, handbags, perfume and apparel and is available at high-end department stores, including Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman-Marcus. In 2009, Richie also teamed with A Pea in the Pod to create a line of maternity clothing.
