Kris Humphries seeking an annulment from Kim Kardashian

According to E! Online, the NBA star is planning to file for a legal separation from Kardashian instead of a divorce, which would pave the way for an eventual annulment of the marriage. 

For the religious Humphries, dissolving the marriage via an annulment -- which would legally mean their union never happened -- is preferable, considering he's said he doesn't believe in divorce (and would also be considered a bachelor in the eyes of religious institutions like the Catholic Church.

The separation papers will reportedly be filed within the next day or two.
