Justin Bieber's 'Under the Mistletoe' makes history with No. 1 debut

bieber-under-the-mistletoe.jpgIt's beginning to look a lot like Christmas on the Billboard 200 album chart, thanks to Justin Bieber.

Bieber's holiday album "Under the Mistletoe" debuts at No. 1 on the latest chart, having sold 210,000 copies in its first week. The chart-topping debut for the album also gives the 17-year-old Bieber a couple more lines in the record books.

He's the first male artist ever to debut at No. 1 with a Christmas album, according to Billboard. He also becomes the first solo artist to have three No. 1 albums before turning 18 -- "My World 2.0" and "Never Say Never: The Remixes" also topped the charts.

"Under the Mistletoe" is just the eighth holiday album to top the Billboard 200 chart, joining sets by Susan Boyle, Josh Groban, Kenny G, Mitch Miller (twice), Bing Crosby and Elvis Presley.

About the only thing missing for Bieber is a TV special to celebrate the season/promote his album. Somehow the networks managed not to put one together this year.
