Brett Ratner apologizes for Olivia Munn lies: 'She's actually talented'
We love when a new Brett Ratner movie comes out, because we get to watch him be a class act all over the media.Currently doing press for "Tower Heist," the director spent most of Monday apologizing. First, he apologized for using a gay slur at a press conference following a film screening -- a moment which stunned the audience and the panel moderator.
Later, he also had to apologize for an appearance on G4's "Attack of the Show" last week, when he was asked about actress Olivia Munn, who used to host the show. In her book she references a director she dated, and he said that it was him.
"I banged her a few times ... but I forgot her," he said of the actress, who formerly went by her first name, Lisa. I didn't know it was the same person. So when she came and auditioned for me for a TV show, I forgot her, she got pissed off and she made up all these stories about me eating shrimp and masturbating in my trailer. And my shortcomings. She talked about my shortcomings. I get it. She's bitter."
Ratner has since changed his tune. He now says Munn is "a friend" and clarifies that she wasn't actually the one making up stories. "She's actually talented," he said on the Howard Stern show. "The problem is I made her look like she's a whore." He says they didn't have a sexual relationship.
Keep digging, buddy. Keep digging.
