Anne Hathaway, Adam Shulman engaged

Anne Hathaway, with a couple huge movies on the horizon in "Dark Knight Rises" and "Les Miserables," has some more good news - she's engaged to boyfriend Adam Shulman, reports US Weekly.

The two actors have been together since 2008. Shulman was initially just a rebound guy after Hathway left entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri, who subsequently went to jail for wire fraud and money laundering. Hathaway was never implicated in Follieri's crimes.

Back in June, Hathaway told Harper's Bazaar of her romance with Shulman, "So far, it's worked out great." She used to get too caught up in the initial intensity of a relationship, "which has its wonderful side, of course," says Hathaway. "But also it was exhausting, and sometimes it would freak me out. Mellow doesn't always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life."

Hathaway was also recently observed by "Dark Knight" co-star Christian Bale as having the hardest gig in the latest Batman movie. He says, "In many ways, she has the hardest job. There are a number of people who feel that the Catwoman role has been defined previously. So, I always saw Anne's role as being the toughest job of any of us."
