Ali Fedotowsky on breakup with Roberto Martinez: 'We both deserved more'

The bizarre nature of the reality TV romance is never more apparent than during the breakup, when one party inevitably gives an exclusive interview and lands the cover of a magazine. Is there any other situation in which a person can cash in on a painful situation so blatantly?

"The Bachelorette" star Ali Fedotowsky, is the latest woman to tell the real story to a magazine in exchange for a spot on the cover. She and Roberto Martinez met and got engaged on the show, but split after postponing their wedding several times over their 18-month engagement.

"I wouldn't be being truthful if I said this came out of nowhere," she told People, tearfully. "We definitely had been having problems. But I had always believed that we could work it out."

She explains that the couple was fighting regularly. "We both realized we were unhappy more than we were happy, and we both deserved more."
