Aishwarya Rai Bachchan delivers baby girl; What's next for the Bollywood actress?

Congratulations are in order for the "first family" of Bollywood -- former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan are officially the proud parents of a baby girl. Aishwarya gave birth to a healthy daughter early Wednesday morning in Mumbai. 

Abhishek enthusiastically tweeted, "IT'S A GIRL!!!!!! :-)))))" around 10 a.m. IST.

A crowd of fans had gathered outside the hospital to wish Aishwarya well. "There was tighter than usual security on Tuesday and a crowd had assembled outside the hospital to get news of the junior-most Bachchan's arrival," an insider told the Times of India.

Abhishek's father, grandpa Amitabh Bachchan, tweeted, "I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !"

Aishwarya and Abhishek have been married since 2007. Their next film together, romantic comedy "Ladies and Gentlemen," will be released in 2012. After she spends some time with her new daugther, Aishwarya is due to film another comedy, called "Rana."
