Will Ferrell to receive Mark Twain comedy award
"Saturday Night Live" alum Will Ferrell is set to receive the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday (Oct. 23) in Washington, D.C.The actor will get the honor at a Kennedy Center ceremony. Among those scheduled to recognize the comic include Jack Black, Conan O'Brien, John C. Reilly, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph and Molly Shannon.
Ferrell starred on "SNL" from 1995-2002 and headlined films including "Anchorman," "Old School" and "Elf."
The award show will be broadcast on PBS on Monday (Oct. 24) at 9 p.m. ET.
This is the 14th annual Mark Twain Prize. Following is a list of previous winners:
