'VH1 Divas' line-up: Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott

VH1 doesn't just fill the airwaves with "Celebrity Rehab" and "Basketball Wives"; the cable network is also in the business of crowning divas. On Thursday (Oct. 27), MTV's sister network announced the line-up for the 2011 "VH1 Divas" concert

Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence + The Machine, Kelly Clarkson and Jessie J will all gather on Dec. 19 to give lip service to the cities where soul music was born. The cities slated for honors include Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia.

The Roots will serve as the evening's backup band with drummer Questlove doing double duty as the night's musical director.

Previous divas include Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Cher, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Chaka Khan, Adele.
