Taylor Swift named Billboard Woman of the Year
She's been linked to Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and even John Mayer. She's unafraid to take on her exes in her songs and she's won four Grammy awards by the age of 21. And now, Taylor Swift can add Billboard Woman of the Year to her resume.
Swift will receive the honor at the 2011 Billboard Women in Music event on Dec. 2 in New York. Swift is the youngest artist to receive the honor which last year went to Blackeyed Peas singer Fergie.
Swift has been a Billboard chart juggernaut; her last album, "Speak Now," has gone platinum five times and sold over a million copies in its first week. Swift made Billboard history with 11 songs charting on the Hot 100 in a single week.
"At the young age of 21, Taylor has already made a major impact on music and has been an incredible role model for aspiring singers/songwriters and young women everywhere," says Billboard Editorial Director Bill Werde.
We just hope she hasn't taught women everywhere to put their exes on blast. Facebook is bad enough...
