Soulja Boy on drug and gun arrest: 'I'm innocent man'
When you're in trouble as deep as Soulja Boy is, sometimes a simple defense is the best one.
The 21-year-old rapper was released from custody on Tuesday (Oct. 18) following his arrest for possession of firearms and marijuana. As Soulja Boy (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) was rushed to his car, he said "I'm innocent, man. I love you all. I just want y'all to know I'm innocent."
Soulja Boy and his entourage were arrested after police found 5 ounces of pot and several pistols in a black Cadillac Escalade rental. After being released from Carroll County Jail, Soulja Boy took to his Twitter:
"Aye can I have a real n---a moment? My fans was DEEP AS F--- OUTSIDE THAT JAIL MAN IM SORRY!!! That's love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
