#RejectedPeanutsSpecials: 'It's the Hangover 3, Charlie Brown!'

On Thursday (Oct. 27), the classic Halloween animated special "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" ran on ABC, as it has for decades. It even attracted a decent audience, considering it ran opposite the World Series -- 7.4 million viewers, beating NBC's "Community" and "Parks and Recreation" competition.

But perhaps the best thing to come out of the annual airing is Friday's trending Twitter hashtag, #RejectedPeanutsSpecials, in which the massive brain trust that is the tweeting public turns its collective attention to snarking at pop culture.
