On Thursday (Oct. 27), the classic Halloween animated special "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" ran on ABC, as it has for decades. It even attracted a decent audience, considering it ran opposite the World Series -- 7.4 million viewers, beating NBC's "Community" and "Parks and Recreation" competition.But perhaps the best thing to come out of the annual airing is Friday's trending Twitter hashtag, #RejectedPeanutsSpecials, in which the massive brain trust that is the tweeting public turns its collective attention to snarking at pop culture.
