October 5th is the most common birthday

Hooray! It's your birthday! Your special day! It's all about you. Right? 

According to the National Center for Health and Statistics, October 5 is North America's most common birthday. Why, you may ask? Because it's roughly nine months after New Year's Eve which, apparently, is the most popular day to get busy.

So Happy Birthday to the estimated 968,000 Americans celebrating today. Not to mention Kate Winslet, Jesse Eisenberg, Guy Pearce, Karen Allen, Daniel Baldwin, Josie Bissett, Clive Barker, Nicky Hilton, and Bob Geldof.

But most importantly, Happy Birthday to Harold Faltermeyer, the legendary composer who gave us "Axel F."
