Martha Stewart calls daughter's salacious tell-all 'hilarious,' denies many of the book's claims

martha-stewart-alexis-stewart-gi.jpgOh those wacky Stewarts.

Just days after Alexis Stewart blasted her mother, domestic diva Martha Stewart, in her book "Whateverland: Learning to Live Here," Martha came back and says her daughter's book is simply a comedy.

On her Hallmark Channel show, Mother Stewart says the book is "hilarious and enlightening." She adds, "It's not an autobiography, let's get that straight right now."

Let's hope that's the case, because otherwise it must have been pretty weird being raised by the extreme home makeover artist cum ex-con.

In the book, Alexis Stewart writes that her mother "used to make me wrap my own presents. She would hand me things right before Christmas and say, 'Now wrap these but don't look inside.'"

And that wasn't close to the strangest thing she says about her mother who she says, "was not interested in being kid-friendly."

The younger Stewart adds her mother "always peed with the door open" regardless of whether she had friends over or not.
