Kirsten Dunst gets German citizenship, says she can now work in Europe without a problem
Kirsten Dunst is now quite the international woman of mystery, as she tells German magazine BZ out of Berlin that she has become a German citizen at an interview for the premiere her new film "Melancholia," directed by Lars von Trier.Dunst says, "I'm now a real international lady, one who can film in Europe without a problem."
We didn't realize she'd had a problem filming in Europe previously. But she comes by her German citizenship naturally - her father is German and she says they visit relatives in Hamburg all the time. Though if she were to purchase a flat, she says she'd prefer Berlin because it's a younger, more happening city.
