Kelsey Grammer: Ex-wife Camille 'married me because I was Frasier'

In Hollywood, the standard line during a celebrity divorce is something like "it was an amicable divorce and we'll always be friends." This is not the case in the Kelsey Grammer split from his now ex-wife Camille.

During an interview with Piers Morgan on Monday (Oct. 17), Grammer says his third wife and former Playboy model Camille was simply interested in his status. This is basically the same line he's been telling other media outlets including Us Weekly.

"I think she married me because I was 'Frasier,'" he says, a reference to his famed TV character.

Grammer adds of Camille's new career, as a "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member, "It was my way of saying, 'Look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go.'"

Of course the ex-Mrs. has taken her fair share of shots too.

"Looking back, maybe he wanted to keep me preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York," she told the N.Y. Post in 2010.

Kelsey Grammer married his new wife, Kayte Walsh, in February 2011 just days after finalizing his divorce.
