Kelly Clarkson's upcoming new single "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" hit the net via an illegal leak on Tuesday morning -- but Miss Independent wasn't having any of that.

"Hey ya'll - I heard that some versions of 'What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)' started showing up online," she tweeted. "My new album Stronger is out in 3 weeks (Oct 24) and I want you to hear the real thing! Check it out!"

Yes -- she leaked the song herself so her fans wouldn't have to listen to sub-par versions. A true patriot.
