Kate Hudson goes brunette: She's a serious actress now!

Kate Hudson is taking a break from her usual bubbly comedy fare for a Very Serious Film, "The Reluctant Fundamentalist." Based on the 2007 novel by Mohsin Hamid, the thriller stars Hudson, Kiefer Sutherland, and Liev Schreiber.

It appears that Hudson will not be playing the adorable blonde. She's been spotted wearing a brunette wig for the new gig. We've also heard that every morning when she puts it on, her IQ goes up ten points!
