Harry Belafonte sleeps through TV interview

It appears that Harry Belafonte isn't much of a morning person.

The 84-year-old calypso singer was scheduled to interview via satellite with the KBAK morning show in Bakersfield, CA last Friday (Oct. 14). However when the morning anchor cut to Belafonte, he was busy catching some z's.

"Hey, good morning Harry!" says Layla Santiago to a napping Belafonte. She continues, "Wake up, wake up! This is your wake-up call! Okay, I'll tell you what, he's meditating. He's taking a little nap."

They then cut away, resigned to the fact that he wasn't about to rise and shine
