Bethenny Frankel denies she lied on Skinnygirl deal
The Skinnygirl queen Bethenny Frankel is steaming mad about about a Huffington Post report that she sold her cocktail brand to Beam Global for $8.1 million rather than the previously reported $120 million."It's completely inaccurate," Frankel tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Frankly, I'm going to pay a lot more than $8.1 million in taxes."
The Huffington Post has since issued a retraction stating that the reporter, Rob Shuter, misread the Beam Global's 10-Q.
"Our reporter misread the $8.1 million figure in the financial documents...the number refers to the amount of Skinnygirl attributed to goodwill, not the total purchase price. We regret the error," the Huffington Post writes on their site.
Frankel sold the cocktail brand to Beam Global in March 2011. But due to a non-disclosure agreement, the "Real Housewife" cannot discuss the sale price.
