Universal to remake 'Scarface'

For those of you who complain about how Hollywood remakes everything, get ready to have your mind blown -- a remake of a remake of a remake.

Universal is developing a new "Scarface" movie. That's right, the 1983 Al Pacino cult classic is being remade. But did you know that the 1983 version is a remake of a 1932 version starring Paul Muni and directed by Howard Hawks? How many times are they gonna make "Scarface?!"

The movie is being produced by Marc Shmuger and Martin Bregman, the latter of which produced the 1983 version. "Scarface" is being viewed as a metaphor for the time; the 1983 version was set in Miami and involved cocaine while the 1932 version was set in Chicago and involved bootlegging. So what will the modern version feature? Meth? Pharmaceuticals? Four Loko?
