Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga make sweet music on 'Duets II' with 'The Lady is a Tramp'
Maybe a little less anticipated than his "Duets II" collaboration with Amy Winehouse, another single from Tony Bennett's upcoming album recently hit the web.
"The Lady is a Tramp" finds the 85-year-old crooner revisiting another familiar tune, this time with the help of Lady Gaga.
A classic Rodgers and Hart tune, "Lady" finds Gaga more subdued than many fans are probably used to hearing her. And you can count Bennett among those fans.
"When she went into it, bam, the thing, it just took off," he says of their meeting in the studio, in an interview with Sony Music to promote the album. "She does know how to sing, and she does know how to play the piano. She sings very, very well."
"Duets II," which also finds Bennett singing with John Mayer, Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Carrie Underwood and quite a few more. The 17-track album hits stores Sept. 20.
