T.I. quietly checks out of halfway house; Rapper now a free man

ti-drink-getty.jpgIt appears T.I. got the message - minimalism is a good thing when dealing with the prison system.

The rapper walked out of an Atlanta halfway house early Thursday (Sept. 29) morning a free man, quietly climbed into a black SUV and drove away. This comes just one month after he left an Arkansas prison and took a tour bus, complete with entourage and TV producers, to the halfway house. These actions were contrary to the terms of his release and quickly landed the artist back in the federal pen for a stint.

T.I. was serving time for a probation violation stemming from his 2007 arrest on weapons charges including possession of three unregistered machine guns.

Next up for T.I., a reality show about his post-prison life for VH1.
