Taylor Lautner, Dwayne Johnson to star as David & Goliath?
Prepare yourselves for a Biblical pec fest the likes of which mankind has never seen.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Twilight" hunk Taylor Lautner and former WWE grappler Dwayne Johnson have been offered the two leads in "Goliath," a period action movie based on the Biblical tale of David and Goliath.
The story of David and Goliath is the original underdog tale. We won't spoil it for you, but it involves a slingshot to the head. Well, actually, I guess we just spoiled it for you. Oh well.
Director Scott Derrickson will helm the action flick which is said to combine the classic tale with contemporary sensibilities. Relativity will produce alongside Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill who (big surprise) produced the "Twilight" flicks.
However, fans of heaving man-chests should temper their enthusiasm. Since both actors currently command upwards of $10 million per picture, financial issues may very well tank this fantasy casting of prime man rib.

David wasn't a warrior, he was a shepherd, so Taylor Lautner really doesn't fit the image in my mind. I could say Jamie Bell totally nailing it though.

I think it could be good, especially if it is a film families can see. I love both these guy, and younger girls really like Taylor. Taylor shouldn't worry about the critics, just focus on his fans.
