Reese Witherspoon passes on prosecuting 84-year-old

It seems Reese Witherspoon will not press charges against the 84-year-old woman who failed to yield for a pedestrian in a crosswalk while driving and then hit the jogging actress while going 20 miles per hour yesterday (Wednesday, Sept. 7). Sure, she escaped with just a cut to her forehead, but still ... what about vengeance? Retribution? Pain and suffering?

"The incident is being treated as an accident," a source tells Us Weekly, noting that typically such an incident would be considered a "moving violation" and would carry a fine and a point towards the driver's license.
