Redmond O'Neal, son of Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett, caught with drugs in rehab

Less than two months after being remanded to court-ordered treatment for heroin possession, Redmond O'Neal was arrested and jailed Thursday (Sept. 15) for possessing drugs while in rehab.

O'Neal, son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, was caught with methamphetamines, an L.A. County District Attorney spokeswoman tells CNN.

The 26-year-old is scheduled to re-appear in court Oct. 7. At this point the the judge will determine if O'Neal can return to rehab or must stay in jail.

O'Neal has a long history of substance abuse problems. In 2008 both he and his father were charged with methamphetamine possession.
