Katt Williams takes back apology for his anti-Mexican rant

It turns out that heartfelt apology made by Katt Williams for a series of anti-Mexican comments captured on tape by a fan was written by his publicist.On Saturday, Williams told CNN that while he apologized to anyone who perceived his remarks as "hateful," he would not apologize for the comments themselves.
"I meant what I said and I said what I meant," Williams said, quoting Dr. Seuss.
He added that apologies were "for the Tracy Morgans of the world." Morgan apologized after making anti-gay remarks on stage during a Nashville stand-up performance.
Among Williams' comments, made during a performance in Phoenix, Ariz.: "Are you Mexican? Do you know where Mexico is? No, this ain't Mexico, it used to be Mexico, motherf***er, and now it's Phoenix, godd***it. USA! USA!"
"I don't think I need to apologize for being pro-American," Williams told CNN before adding that he really appreciates his Mexican fan-base.
He just has a funny (not) way of showing it.

I just became an even bigger Katt Williams fan. Good for him- I'm tired of celebs being pressured to conform and apologize when their words don't sit well with the liberal mafia that tries to regulate free speech. Everything he said was true, and I'm so happy to hear he's standing by his words. Keep hustlin' Katt.
And what's wrong with liberal tolerance and acceptance of others? Oh, that's right - it requires that you make an effort. Easier to be bigoted and hateful, isn't it, DT? Means you don't have to think about what your parents spoonfed you, means you can just blame all your troubles on minorities and people who are underprivelegd and outnumbered.
God, I'm glad I'm not American - you guys are in deep deep trouble with attitudes like Katt Williams.
Katt, you have no reason to apolgize. You stood up for our country, the great USA.
He's not a patriot. He's a bigot and possibly a xenophobe. I love America as much as the next guy, but I don't feel the need to belittle other nationalities to make myself seem more patriotic.

Unfortunately, liberal tolerance only applies to those who agree with them. If you disagree with a liberal, my how intolerant their attitude becomes.
Also, look around the whole world, racism and bigotry was around long before America came into being. And will remain long after this country is gone.
Thank you Katt for telling it like it is. you have the freedom of speech. we all have the freedom to be offended.
Katt Williams should obviously be sent to a re-education camp. He has to learn that there are things you just cannot say in this country! How dare he insult another nationality? Free speech is such a joke. People need to learn that they have to speak and think a certain way, and anything other than that is unacceptable! If only we could lock these people up until they understand how they should think and speak.
Free Speech means you get to say whatever you want, DT. It also means we get to call him an idiot for what it is he's saying.
No one is applying tape over his mouth, we're just calling him a moron. Which would be the exact opposite of "regulating free speech".
If you're going to cast aspirations at the "liberal mafia", at least think about what you're saying for a second or two.
