Kathy Griffin can't lay off Kardashians, has Emmy advice for Jane Lynch

On Friday's (Sept. 16) "The Talk," Kathy Griffin dropped in to crack wise with Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert and Sharon Osbourne and current guest co-host Kris Jenner. Not surprisingly, it didn't take look for the conversation to turn to the Kardashians and Griffin's well-documented ribbing of the reality TV-famous family.

Jenner, Kardashian matriarch, asked Griffin if she would consider a moratorium on Kardashian kidding.

"If you lay off the Kardashians for let's call it six months -- be nice to Kardashian year," started Jenner, who offered to take in Griffin's mom in return.

"Wow," replied Griffin. "Let me think -- how bad do I want it? No. I can't do it. I can't lay off any celebrity ever."

Griffin also weighed in with a tip for Emmy host Jane Lynch.

"My advice for Jane Lynch is advice she should not take," said Griffin. "About halfway through the show if some joke doesn't get a laugh or something, she should just throw down the mic and say 'Chomp on this' and storm out. It's all about creating moments."
