Jon Cryer: 'I was worried that Charlie was going to die'

charlie-sheen_jon-cryer-getty.jpgWhen Charlie Sheen suffered his very public meltdown that resulted in his firing and nearly ended the hit CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men," his co-star Jon Cryer was concerned for Sheen's health.

"I was worried that Charlie was going to die," Cryer says in a clip from his interview on "Ellen."

Cryer tells Ellen DeGeneres that, while Sheen hasn't apologized for calling Cryer a "troll," he adds that "It was in the heat of the moment I imagine when he said it. So I did not put a whole lot of credence in it at the time."

He also adds that the two have not spoken since the blow up.

The interview airs on Wednesday (Sept. 14).

Here's the clip the show released...
