Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed confirm wedding date; Couple will tie the knot October 1

After 28 years, millions of albums sold, five Playboy covers, six seasons of reality TV and two children, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed have finally decided to get hitched.
The KISS frontman and his Playmate girlfriend will wed Oct. 1 according to OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Despite their nearly three-decade relationship, it was unclear whether the nuptials would happen. During the season 6 finale of their A&E show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," Simmons proposed to his long-time love. But in true Hollywood fashion, they left it as a cliffhanger, not showing Tweed's response.
But the couple's spokesperson says, "I am happy to confirm that Gene and Shannon will be getting married in the near future."
This should mark the end for Simmons, 62, and his notorious womanizing days. In a 2002 interview with NPR's Terry Gross, Simmons stated he's bedded approximately 4,600 women.
All the details of the event will emerge on the season premiere of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," which returns Oct. 4.

After all of Gene's badtalking of marriage over the years, he would officially be a sellout if he married Shannon for the sake of Family Jewels.
