Emmy Awards 2011: Zooey Deschanel's Monique Lhuillier gown... yea or nea?

Based off of initial reactions from the Twitter-verse (and the Zap2it office), Zooey Deschanel's Emmy night dress is getting some seriously mixed reviews.

A floor-length, pink Monique Lhuillier gown, many are not feeling it -- but we're inclined to give it the seal of approval. Her hair is another matter...

On the carpet, Deschanel, whose comedy "New Girl" premieres on Fox Sept. 20, revealed that she's not a fan of heels -- and that her handlers forced her to wear them.

"I always want to wear flats, but I'm wearing heels," she admitted on the E! News red carpet. "They wouldn't let me."

Apparently even adorkable celebrities aren't allowed to pick their own footwear.
