Emmy Awards 2011: Paula Abdul on Simon Cowell's 'blueberries'

Paula Abdul was on hand for the 2011 Emmy Awards and when she caught up with Ryan Seacrest and Nigel Lythgoe on the red carpet, it was quite the "American Idol" reunion. Nigel hilariously pretended to choke on his good wishes for her launch of "The X Factor" on Wednesday, Sept. 21.Paula also dished a little about the upcoming new show - "It's not about Simon. This time it's about the contestants ... You'll have to watch it to feel the emotional connection."
When Ryan jokes about how many times she hit Simon in the first half hour, Paula says, "It's a good left hook, but I also have a right across the body swing with a kick."
Now that we'd like to see. And Nigel chimes in that he heard Paula kicked Simon in the family jewels and Paula cracks, "They were blueberries. Blue balls."
Alrighty then, Paula. Perhaps that is retaliation for Simon comparing bringing her on "X Factor" to "getting an old dog back from the rescue pound."
