Thirteen years after playing Hunter S. Thompson in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," Johnny Depp reprises his role as the noted Gonzo journalist in the upcoming film "The Rum Diary."The movie, which follows Thompson as a struggling journalist in 1950s Puerto Rico, also features Amber Heard ("The Playboy Club") as his love interest, Aaron Eckhart ("The Dark Knight") as Heard's fiancee and Richard Jenkins ("Six Feet Under") as the local newspaper editor.
The first trailer for the film came out Friday (Aug. 26).
The movie will be in theaters October 28.
