'The Green Album': OK Go, Weezer cover the Muppets

We have nothing but praise for Disney's re-launch of the Muppets franchise with the release of Nov. 23's "The Muppets" starring Jason Segel, Amy Adams and -- yes -- The Muppets. Adding to our nostalgic high, a new album of Muppet covers launched on Tuesday (Aug. 23).

"The Green Album" features songs from Weezer, The Fray, My Morning Jacket, Alkaline Trio and OK Go, who put their own awesome spin on the "Muppet Show" theme song.

Watch as the band -- joined by Kermit, Dr. Teeth, the Swedish chef, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, Janice and a slew of Muppet faves -- update the classic. Bonus: The album is kid-friendly, parent-friendly and hipster-approved (at least the one we asked).
