Taylor Armstrong's fellow 'Real Housewives' react to Russell Armstrong tragedy
In the hours since news of Russell Armstrong's apparent suicide first broke, cast members from Bravo's different "Real Housewives" franchises have spoken out in interviews and on Twitter to express their condolences to Russell's family, including estranged wife and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong and the five-year-old daughter they had together.
Most of the original "Real Housewives of New York City" cast members have already reacted, with Alex and Simon McCord and Ramona Singer both speaking to Us Weekly.
"That's unbelievably awful," say the McCords. "[We] hadn't heard yet. Our hearts go out to the family."
Singer offered some further perspective on the matter. "It's a shame," she says. "It's a shame for his child and it's a shame for his wife. It's very sad when anyone takes their life. Someone has to be in so much pain to take their life, I can't even imagine what kind of pain."
Fellow New Yorker Jill Zarin spoke with Life & Style. "This is so sad for Taylor and her daughter," she says. "Words cannot convey how I feel. I will be there for her if she needs me. This is such a senseless tragedy."
And among the New Jersey "Housewives," former cast member Danielle Staub tweeted a message to Taylor, while remaining star Caroline Manzo also spoke with Life & Style. "I'm so sorry to hear it -- it's so tragic," she says. "My thoughts are with Taylor, their daughter, Russell's son and their families."
Atlanta housewife NeNe Leakes tweeted her own message for Taylor: "My dear friend! My heart goes out to you! I'm here for you."
Camille Grammer was among the first of the Beverly Hills stars to speak out on their fellow cast member, but Adrienne Maloof has also joined the chorus of sympathies.
"My heart goes out to Taylor Armstrong and Kennedy during this devastating time," she wrote on Twitter. "You will be in my thoughts and in prayers."
Maloof's tweet was later deleted.

Losing Hope under Obama Economy, a second recession. Country is on the wrong track for sure.
Wow. I had no idea that the other housewives from other States were such good friends and so close to Taylor in Beverly Hills. They all call her "dear friend", etc. I didn't really know that there was such a close knit group of them as housewives. I thought they didn't know each other since they all live so far away.
how about all the suicides under Repub's watch?? so are those they're faults too?? guess so according to your BS.......
Who will pay for her plastic serguries now, poor Taylor is so ugly she looks like a monster.
Thanks god Bethanny didnt twitter this monster over how she drove her husband to kill himself.
My heart goes out to Taylor and her daughter. I cannot ever imagine going through something like this. To all the people with the negative comments, have some respect! How heartless can you be!
Hasn't anyone told Taylor that....... Russell is still abusing her.......... by committing suicide.... he was actually saying " I'LL SHOW YOU".......Taylor.........don't let him continue this abuse!!!
