Sinead O'Connor barely recognizable to some fans

sinead-oconnor-2-gi.jpgSinead O'Connor has apparently changed a bit since her days as a waifish rebel with a voice like honey. The honey voice is still intact, but at age 44 the singer has some fans doubting her identity.

Why the confusion?

O'Connor, once known for her signature bald pate, has hair. She's also put on a little bit of weight. The photo above was shot at a Manchester, U.K. music festival on July 1.

Below, O'Connor as she appeared in 1990 when her "Nothing Compares 2 U" single was topping the charts and she was ripping up photos of the pope on "Saturday Night Live":

People magazine also posted this more recent photo of the singer, who is currently touring Europe, sporting an all-black belly-baring ensemble.

GOD has a sense of humor too, and obviously the last laugh.

So she doesn't look like she did when she was a kid.
We would all like to BUT age and gravity befall us all.

mega!!! tani mabasa mo ne... dire lang ta chika... musta na day?

This is not her. If you go on her website you see a more updated picture of her that clearly shows her age (gracefully!). You can not believe everything written. Just look at her website.

At least she can sing.
She just doesn't look like all the lip syncing tweens out there pretending to be musicians.

mega>?

Really? An article dedicated to pointing out that a woman that was skinny as a rail when she was 20 is now a few pounds heavier after 20 years and 4 kids? Pathetic excuse for journalism.
Sinead has spent her life standing up for what she believes and that means its ok to bully her and mock her?
Still one of my top ten favorite singers. Keep on Sinead, don't listen to the mindless haters.

Let's hear it for Sinead, often times the bravest of the brave. She spoke out when not many others had the guts. She has my total respect. A great lady! Not forgetting that she's also a great artist. I don't think she'll be "All Apologies", and why the hell should she be?

Newsflash! Women doesn't look exactly like she did 20 years ago! Does the writer of this article look exactly the same way SHE did 20 years ago? Tired of these silly stories. This might be a valid story if Sinead had changed her apperance dramatically in a short amount of time..but its two entire decades people.
