'Sex and the City 3' in the works, Sarah Jessica Parker confirms

On the heels of news that The CW may be developing a "Sex and the City" prequel, series star and fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker reveals that the hit HBO television series will likely spawn a third feature film. Parker tells Parade that she has spoken to the writers and producers, and there is a story on the table for a "Sex and the City 3."
"There is. I know what the story is," she says. "It's a small story, but I think it should be told. The question is, what's the right time to tell it?"
We're thinking sometime before the women turn eighty.
Perhaps there will be a cameo appearance made by Parker's son, James Wilkie Broderick, who the actress reveals has plans to be an actor. "I don't want him to do it until after he goes to college: But part of me thinks maybe it's better if he knows the truth now about how hard it is to be a working actor," she says. "I don't know that he grasps what it took to get us here."

I was a fan of Sex in the City for years HOWEVER...
Sex in the City 2 was one of the WORST movies that I have EVER seen.
I cannot believe they got the go ahead for a 3rd movie.
I loved the HBO show too. The first movie was wonderful. I really was looking forward to the 2nd everytime I saw the preview for 6 months I was jumping for joy. I didn't get to see it at the theatres mainly because I do not like to go alone. So I waited another 10 months to see it. I cannot believe that I actually was so excited to see it. This movie was awful. It ruined the series for me, it made me disappointed with everyone involved in it. Not to mention it seemed to ruin the relationships I had with these girls. A 3rd movie should be out of the question, they will be digging an even bigger hole.

It's precisely because the second movie sucked that they owe us a satisfactory conclusion to the SATC saga. If this movie is done right it can make the funky aftertaste of the second movie go away. But please, let's make SATC 3 the FINAL SATC project. That means, no prequels and no further sequels.
I agree with huskywolf. A third installment is needed to end on a good note. Make it a 90 minute movie--keep the writing crisp and the plot succinct and believable. No need for filler, like the 2nd movie had.
Oh yes, as all have stated, SATC2 was a dreadful bore. I haven't disliked a movie that much on quite awhile and I, too, was a fan of the show and the first movie. I'm in agreement with HuskyWolf. The series needs to be wrapped up on a good note. It can't end with that travesty we got stuck with last time.

The more I watch sex and the city 2 the more I love it!! I love all the sex and the city hbo series and the films at the box office! I'm really excited to hear that a 3rd sex and the city is coming out! Yeah!! You girls rock! :D
I don't care what everyone thinks. I loved the movies. I didn't see them expecting a oscar winning movie. I saw a long episode and it's awesome. I love the girls and I would go see every movie they make! I wish they still made the tv show.
