Selena Gomez's career change: Playing red carpet reporter at the VMAs

Selena Gomez is making a career change next weekend! The singer/actress/dancer is becoming a quadruple threat by adding reporter to her resume when she takes to the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Okay, so technically it's a black carpet. MTV is fancy like that.

Gomez will be joining Sway, Jim Cantiello and James Montgomery as they relay all the interviews and breaking news from the VMAs.

"After all of my years watching the VMA's, the pre-show has always been one of my favorite parts," Gomez says in the MTV press release. Yeah, us too... at least since the hey day of Britney and *NSYNC passed by in the early 2000s.
