Samantha Ronson charged with D.U.I. after arrest, scowling mug shot

Samantha Ronson, who was arrested Aug. 1 on suspicion of driving under the influence, has been formally charged with a misdemeanor D.U.I.

TMZ reports the San Bernardino County district attorney's office has slammed the DJ and ex-girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan with charges for driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08. (A conviction would result in a maximum of 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine, though probation is more likely for first-time offenders.)

Ronson was en route from Las Vegas, where she DJ-ed a party the night before, to Los Angeles when she was pulled over for speeding.

The arrest and charges have fueled speculation that Ronson is grappling with alcoholism. It makes us particularly nostalgic for the days, not that long ago, when she was just that teenybopper who sang the recurring ballad from the "Mean Girls" soundtrack...
