Ricki Lake hopes 'Dancing With the Stars' will help her lose weight for her wedding

In addition to boosting a celeb's star power, "Dancing With The Stars" is also known for shaping up those stars who have packed on a few extra pounds. Ricki Lake, who first made a name for herself playing a heavyset teen in "Hairspray," is hoping her turn on the show will help her drop weight for her upcoming wedding.

"I fell in love, and I got a little fluffy this year," she tells Access Hollywood. "Not a lot fluffy, but like a little fluffier than I want to be. This is definitely time for me to shed the [pounds] for my wedding next year."

She'll be competing against longtime pal David Arquette. "I do [have the competitive edge]... I have it in my head that I can do this," she says. "I love David, and I think he's really going to be a challenge and I'm just going to hopefully get inspired by him."
