Rebecca Black forced from school by bullies, now every day is Friday

Not everyone is as fond of Rebecca Black as Katy Perry.

The universally-mocked YouTube sensation, who's become something of a legitimate celebrity of late, is opening up about the abuse she's endured since her "Friday" video made her famous in March.

"When I walk by they'll start singing 'Friday' in a really nasally voice," she tells ABC News. "Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"

Not anymore, apparently. Black's mother pulled her from her Anaheim, CA, high school after bullying became too much this past spring. She's now home schooled.

"I've had a lot of experience with not being liked and all that," she tells ABC News. "I think if I hadn't had to deal with that in the past then I totally would have handled this differently and I would have gone down in burning flames. But I've learned that you just can't let it get to you."

At least she seems to be taking it well.
