Old Navy lets go of proper spelling for new T-shirts

old-navy-t-shirt.jpg

Old Navy clothing stores are saving money on spell checkers and passing the savings on to you.

The clothing giant recently launched Superfan Nation, an in-store shop that sells college and professionally licensed sports gear.  But it would appear that Old Navy hasn't been putting enough time into their studies, as the shirts feature the proud exclamation "Lets go!!"  For those of you who aren't grammar sticklers, let's examine:

"Let's go USC!" is a battle cry for the Trojans to march toward the end-zone.

"Lets go USC!" implies that somebody was holding USC and then dropped it.

Smooth move, Old Navy.  Though the shirts echo the age old sentiment that chicks dig football more than grammar.
