Miley Cyrus spotted smoking a cigarette

Miley Cyrus is again experiencing a growth spurt. Which means she's again risking the alienation of "Hannah Montana" fans who figured she was just a wholesome, non-political Disney-endorsed character. On Monday (Aug. 1), Cyrus was spotted smoking a cigarette (while wearing a bikini, no less!) at a Michigan lake. She reportedly spent the day frolicking in the sun -- and dragging on smokes -- with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.
Geez, can't an 18-year-old get marriage equality tattoo, smoke a little salvia or light up a cigarette without getting a "role model" lecture? Apparently not.
"I would never smoke," wrote Cyrus in her 2009 autobiography. "I always say that for me, smoking would be like smashing my guitar and expecting it to play. I'd never do that to my voice, not to mention the rest of my body."
Hey, people change. But what do you think -- should Miley kick the habit to avoid sending kids the wrong message or, at 18, can she shed the role model mantle?

She should drop the role model act. It pretty much fell apart when she was spotting doing hits of whatever that stuff was last year anyway. Given the choice there are probably worse things she could be doing to herself than smoking cigs. Ref: Lindsay Lohan.
I think the role model deal went out the window when she started pole dancing and doing drugs. If young girls are looking for a role model, they should look at Taylor.

Seriously...who cares? She's 18 - she can do what she wants. If young girls are going to smoke just because their beloved teen idol does then their stupidity is to blame, not a girl smoking a cigarette.
Alex2 you forgot to mention, Lindsay is way more talented than Miley, by which I mean, Lindsay actually has talent and unlike M.C. she is a sincere and genuine person... for Cyrus everything's a calculated PR move.
This is clearly the downfall of Western Civilization.
