Michele Bachmann Newsweek cover: Fair game or foul play?
Tina Brown clearly isn't trying to fly under the radar since taking over editor in chief duties at Newsweek. A few weeks on the heels of that inarguably tasteless Zombie Princess Diana feature, the magazine has another cover causing a stir. Tea Party leader and presidential hopeful Michele Bachman appears on the latest issue, sporting a facial expression that can only be described as a combination of Steve Carell on the "40-year-old Virgin" poster and Gollum. Sexism and partisanship are just some of the allegations coming out after the release of the unflattering image, but Brown disagrees.
"Michele Bachmann's intensity is galvanizing voters in Iowa right now," the editor explains on Twitter, "and Newsweek's cover captures that."
Signing yourself up for a profile and pictorial obviously doesn't guarantee a flattering portrayal, nor should it, but doesn't the photo strike you as a little spiteful?

How can she be the leader of the Tea
Party? Her family got rich off of Medicare from the clinics that they run.
Tina is obviously scared of Michelle, so she has to strike out like a 3 year old, posting an unflattering photo. Newsflash, Tina, you better be scared. The more you attack the Tea Party, the closer we become, and we are ready for 2012. Enjoy your spiteful crap while you can.
I've seen that look before.... Charles Manson.
Probably appropriate for the Tea Party... crazy leading the nuts and trying to drive the country over the cliff.
It wasn't that hard to find a photo of Bachmann like this because it is how she looks a lot of the time. It reflects the crazy leading the crazies and who caused our credit downgrade due to their d*cking around about raising our debt limit (which btw is NOT spending more $$, it is just a matter of course). DUH!!
Bachmann took the picture, so it's her own fault. Besides, Bachmann is insane, a hypocrite (like getting a $417,000 loan from Fannie Mae and then saying Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae should be shut down), and would run this country into the ground if she became president.
Tina Brown should be fired from this magazine...first the Diana fiasco and now this.
You can count on the Obama Media to trash her, despite his Failed Presidency and Downgraded Credit Rating. Dumb, Crazy, Racist attacks are sooo predictable.
Soros trolls are here blaming the Tea Party for what Obama has done to the Country, LMFAO.
@Happy Downgrade Obama. You know you just make yourself look stupid posting such comments in an article that has nothing to do with that. As for the picture - I wouldn't have used it because regardless of intent some people are going to assume a political agenda. That said, a million environmentally friendly recycled Halloween masks have just been born.
I think it is a case of fair play it just also happens to be foul game!
